This week at preschool, we are learning about animals who are nocturnal. We decided that the only way we could see these creatures was to go "camping". We pitched out tents, packed our flashlights, anterns and binoculars. Just wait until you hear what we saw...
We explored light, and the cool shadows that we could make.
We read good books with our friends. We read about owls, spiders, and bats.
We saw an owl, 2 bats, and a spider in our fall tree!
We even thought we might have seen an owl in our real tree right outside of our window. But it turned out to be a Mourning Dove.
Grace's Mom and Dad brought in a real tent and set it up for us outside on the playground. It was so big that we could ALL fit!
We enjoyed a campfire with our friends.
Some children have had camping experiences before, some had not. It seemed to me that no matter your experience, you could use your imagination and have a wonderful camping trip, without ever leaving our school!
