Threes Christmas Party

Our 3s were super excited about their special day at preschool!

The party moms worked really hard to give them a wonderful Christmas party.  We played pin the ornament on the Christmas Tree...

We each chose presents from under the tree.  We took turn finding the present with our name on it!

The boys and girls are doing an amazing job reading their own name in print! Then we waited very patiently and opened our gifts all together.

We made Rudolph paper bag puppets and sang fun Christmas Songs.

The party was lots of fun and the food was delicious.  We made Santa cupcakes that were super cute!
Thank you to the mommies who made our class party so very nice!

All Aboard!

This week our 4s boarded the Polar Express and headed to the North Pole!
First we enjoyed hearing the story read to us by our teachers.
Then we joined up with the Rainbow 4s to watch the movie on the big screen!
We cozied up with our friends and curled up in our blankets.

After the movie, we each chose a present from under the tree.

A bell! And guess what? We could all hear it ring!
Finally, we enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies!
This was a super fun day with our friends!

Its beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!

Our 2s have gotten off to a great start celebrating Christmas!

Practicing colors and shapes as they decorate our felt Christmas tree.

They pretended to make Christmas cookies with play-doh!

They made scented gingerbread men and decorated them!

More cookies!

This week we have been reading lots of Gingerbread books. We have the Gingerbread Boy, The Gingerbread Man, Gingerbread Cowgirl, Gingerbread Pirates, and the list goes on. By far, The Gingerbread Baby is my favorite! Today the 4s made their own gingerbread babies. We rolled the dough, pressed the cookies, and baked them. Once we made sure that they did not escape from the oven, we decorated them and gobbled them up! They were delicious!

We have a new game in the science center! This is a super fun sensory activity that captures the interest of everyone, especially when you tell them not to open the container! Each jar has a few cotton balls inside, with several drops of extract. The idea is to smell the jar, then place it on the spot that shows what you think is inside. We have the following scents: caramel, mint, cherry,
orange, pine, chocolate, strawberry, and banana. The boys and girls seemed to really enjoy this!

Sunshine 4s Friendship Feast

On Tuesday, the Sunshine 4s gathered with friends and family to celebrate Thanksgiving.

We made our own costumes...

And planned our own menu! Earlier in the month we worked together to plan our meal. The boys and girls listed food that they would like to have at their feast. We discussed a traditional feast, then added some current favorites, like spaghetti! We worked very hard to plan a balanced meal, right down to our green vegetable, pickles!

We sat together and gave thanks for our many blessings.

It was so nice to be with our families for this special time together.

The Pilgrims and Indians had a wonderful time together, celebrating their friendship!

We sang some special songs for our visitors.
Thank you so very much for all who helped make this feast a success. The food was delicious and the company even better!
Thank you to Riley Drew's Mimi who made sure that everything was just right!

Thanksgiving Feast

Today our Rainbow 4s shared a friendship feast with their families. Thank you to the Wallace Pentecostal Holiness Church for sharing your church with us and making us feel right at home! It was a day full of fun, food, and fellowship!

The boys and girls worked with their families to make these super cute turkey pops! They were made of rice crispy treats, and decorated to look like a turkey! Gobble-Gobble
We played pin the feather on the turkey, it looks like they did a pretty good job!

After a story time, the boys and girls make handprint turkeys. They turned out great!

These Pilgrims and Indians are ready for their feast! I think they worked up an appetite.

And what a feast it was! Just look at all of that tasty food.

It was so nice to celebrate this special day with our friends and family.

Thank you to Emily and Guy Howard's families for planning such a wonderful day for our preschoolers.

Happy Thanksgiving!
