Thanksgiving with our 2s

Our sweet 2s celebrated Thanksgiving together a little early.

Thank you to R's family for hosting our party!

We enjoyed  a tasty snack together.

And shared the table with family and friends.

This little bunch sure put me in the Thanksgiving spirit!

Love these precious Pilgrims!

We Gathered Together...

Thanksgiving planning has been in full swing for some time now at Sunshine.
We have been learning to set the table, plan a balanced meal, and practicing our  manners.

We used our pumpkin play-doh to make turkeys.

Miss Ashley taught us how to make cranberry play-doh.

It was a huge hit in both classrooms.

This year our 3s and 4s came together to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Our 4s dressed as Native Americans.  They made pattern noodle necklaces...

and headbands.

Following tradition, our 4s planned the menu and families from both classes prepared the items.

Our Native Americans were ready to go meet the Pilgrims.

Our precious Pilgrims sang a song for us!

We shook hands with the Pilgrims and celebrated friendship.

Thank you, thank you to everyone who pitched in and made this a wonderful experience for out little learners.

And, the FOOD!  It was delicious.

We shared conversation,

space,

and sweet time together.

So thankful for these little ones and their families.

Pet Show

It was a blue ribbon day at preschool!
We celebrate Thanksgiving for the whole month of November.  One of our most thankful things is our families.  Pets are such an important part of our families that we take some special time to celebrate them with a Pet Show.
Each child showed their pet, a picture of their pet, or a stuffed pet.

I love the look of pride on their faces as they share with us these important family members.

Each pet won a blue ribbon.  Wally won for most clean pet, as he had had a bath the night before.

We learned the difference between a question and a statement,
and how to be a good member of an audience.

We practiced asking good questions, like does your dog do any tricks?
Bailey doesn't do tricks any more, but she won the blue ribbon for "most fashionable" pet.

This Bailey won for most energetic pet!

Crabby was by far the most well behaved pet of the day!

We met these wild ones and found out what makes them special.

Winner of "Most Purple" pet, 2014!

We are so thankful for the family members who were willing to take time out of their busy days to make this special day at preschool possible.

Winner of "Most Cuddly Pet"!

Tucker took home the prize for "Shiniest Fur"

We finished our day together with a fun little dog shaped sandwich and Scooby Snacks!
