3s Pumpkin Party

This was an exciting morning at 3 year old preschool.
It was finally time for our Pumpkin Party.

The boys and girls loved wearing their costumes.  I heard so many compliments being shared between the children.  They are definitely developing loving hearts under the direction of Mrs. Renee' and Mrs. Jill!

After our brisk hayride to the depot, the children gathered for circle time.

Then we hared the Pumpkin Parable with them.

Mrs. Amy shared the pumpkin prayer with the children and reminded them to always let their lights shine!

After story time, each child worked with their families to decorate a pumpkin.
The could use play-doh, letter stickers, or feathers.

Then we visited the model train museum.

The children were fascinated by the trains.

After all of that fun, we had worked up an appetite.

We had Pupmpkin pops, pumpkin juice, Monster Munch, pumpkin cookies, and spooky fruit.

Finally it was time to get our buckets and head out to the carnival.

We were ready!

We matched the ducks in the duck pond.

We knocked the cans down with bean bags.

We got our faces painted!

We went fishing for candy!

And we played spider ring toss.
The children had such a great time at the depot.

Thank you to Windsor and Robert J. for being great party host and hostesses.  Thank you to all of the families who help make this day wonderful.  We could not do it without you!

4s Pumpkin Party

Today was our Pumpkin Party for our 4s.
The party  moms worked very hard to ensure that a fun time was had by all!
We worked through 4 stations, in 4 small groups.
In this center the children used markers to dot paper towel pumpkins, then we painted them with water.  The  water caused the markers to bleed, just like painting with watercolors.

Then we made character masks.  We glued pompoms, beads, and other sparkles on them.

In this center we disguised our little pumpkins.  I was fascinated with their ideas.
We had a spider man  an Easter Egg, a clown, a mommy, Ariel, and princess, monsters, and many more.

The boys and girls loved making their own sticker books and playing spider toss in this center.

Then it was time for a tasty snack.
We had super cute candy corn cupcakes, Frankenstein pudding parfaits, mummy dogs, and mummy juice.

We ended our day with the Pumpkin Parable, led by Mrs. Regina.
She taught us how that when we have God in our hearts, we can let our lights shine!

Then we took turns exploring the inside of the pumpkin.  It sure was ooey and gooey!

A BIG thank you to the party moms, and those who were there to help us today. We had a wonderful time and made priceless memories.  Thank you for providing these experiences to our Sunshine Kids.

2s Pumpkin Party

Look who popped into preschool on Friday for our Pumpkin Party!

We started our day with a story, The Itsy Bitsy Spider.

Then we pretended to be spiders ourselves.
We carefully walked on the web, using our best balancing skills.

Then it was time for a delicious snack.

It was so much fun to wear our costumes to preschool!

No monkey business around here!

Kyle's Farm

It was a beautiful, sunshine-y day at Kyle's Farm. The boys and girls were ready for a fun field trip.

We took a hayride to the farmer's barn where we got to meet many interesting animals.

We learned about crops, the way they grow, and how they help us in our daily life.

We went on a fun train ride!

And cheered for our friends as they went down the big slide!

We raced ducks...

and rode the tractor.

We had a heap of fun in the corn pit!

We loved the cool swing too.

We worked up an appetite, time for lunch!

Picnic with our special grandmothers.

The farmer's mama ready us a story,

then took us to choose a pumpkin.

We found the just-right-pumpkin.

What a sweet bunch of pumpkins!

We had such a wonderful trip!  We enjoyed spending time with the children and their families.  Thank you so much to the family members who helped to make this a memorable trip.
