Our 2s are beginning to recognize that we mark special days with special celebrations.
These experiences teach them about tradition, the passage of time, and give them many opportunities to develop their oral language skills.
We began our day by sharing Valentines with our friends.
Then it was time for our special snack.
So much fun to have mommy at school!
We enjoyed yogurt and fruit cup ice cream cones, muffins, and heart shaped fruit kabobs.
We played games together...
and practiced taking turns.
We had so much fun with our friends.
We finished our day together by making Valentines for our family, just like Minka did in our story time book, Mouse's First Valentine's Day.
How about this sweet candy cake?!? Yumm!
