Olympics Day 3

Our book for today was a great one! It inspired us as we prepared to play "ball" games!

We bowled.

We helped set up the pins for the next friend.

Our craft today was a baseball!  

We learned to dribble the basketball.

We played tee ball!

We had a wonderful day!

We learned the significance of the Olympic Rings.  They take their colors from the flags of the countries who participated in the Olympics when they were designed.  There are 5 to symbolize the 5 continents from which athletes compete.  They are interlinked to symbolize the coming together of people from all over the world.

I am not one for a worksheet, but this one was a great challenge and a meaningful way to discuss the colors of the rings. Color by number was a huge success, even with our young 3s!
